The Story Behind
the Art

I was always creative —

just not with a paintbrush or a pencil.

My creativity showed up in ideas, in unconventional thinking, and in written or digital expression. Even there, however, I sensed limits. I could imagine, articulate, and innovate, but there was a boundary I couldn’t seem to cross. Visual art was not my language. Drawing amounted to little more than simple figures and rough shapes. Painting was not part of my world.

That changed on January 21, 2019.

After a prophetic dream, I sensed the Lord asking me to return my creativity to Him — not as a talent to be displayed, but as a gift to be dedicated. I didn’t feel equipped. I didn’t feel trained. But I offered what I had, trusting that obedience mattered more than ability.

The image shown below (left) was my first attempt to draw the image I saw in that dream. Essentially, a long-legged pooh bear. Not at all what I dreamt.

As I dedicated the next two months of what God showed me in that dream, and placed it back in His hands, in obedience, the result (pic on the right) was NOT from lessons or formal instruction from man. It was an increase from the Lord Himself.

The capacity to see form, movement, and meaning began to open. Images arrived with clarity. What once felt inaccessible became natural. Acrylic paint became the primary medium — first on canvas, then extending to jackets, shoes, and other surfaces — shaped through prayer, obedience, and practice rather than technique alone.

I have now been painting for nearly seven years.

This work stands as a testimony of what God can do with a gift when it is fully returned to Him. Not perfected through human effort, but multiplied through surrender. What you see here is not the result of lifelong training — it is the fruit of dedication.

I believe, any gift you bring Him, in obedience and alignment, He will cause to increase, and to Him be ALL THE GLORY, FOREVER, Amen!
